Why Enviable Workplace? I co-founded and built this resource to explore how to create kick ass company culture.

The Inspiration? After experiencing cubicle life in Los Angeles, New York and London agencies, I vowed never to do it again.  Since most of my day is spent either building online strategies for clients or project managing their implementation, I find EW a valuable resource. I hope it does the same for you.

What I do. Here is a diagram of the skills sets I work with every day and how company culture applies:

My expertise resides in project managing people with the above skills to complete a bespoke strategy.  These strategies deliver enhanced reputation across multiple platforms.

I believe when you build a solid reputation, consistent personal brand and create opportunities for others to spread your name, you win. Having a distinct reputation, backed up by a strong online presence (website + social proof + network), means business leads are no longer a worry. What matters long term is your philosophical foundation, your company’s culture.

My Company Culture: It doesn’t please everyone nor try to. I’m pricey, picky and need to be passionate about the projects I work on. I love a good disagreement, debate and working it through. I’m competitive (after all this isn’t HappyWorkplace.com, it’s Enviable: Adj: Arousing or likely to arouse envy) and enjoy the business game. For me, having opinionated and talented people around me is a priority.

Reputation. So why does Reputation matter? (Def: recognition by other people of some characteristic or ability)

Reputation now matters more than ever. If you have a sub-par website or social network, poor branding or just don’t do great work, you’re irrelevant. CEO’s need to be the face of the company. If you build up a company with enviable culture that spreads the news, you gain reputation.

Reputation creates interest from potential customers or businesses and they become intrigued in what you deliver and the problems you could solve.

Steps one and two lay the foundation for people to want to have a conversation with you. As long as it’s easy to get in touch, most likely they will.

Good communication removes the hard sell allowing the conversation to focus on how both parties can benefit. Whatever business deal is struck, it’s got to improve both parties’ reputation and it’s got to be more than just monetary. A good reputation is the foundation of good business.
